We believe music is everywhere and is an important part of life. Music comes from the timber in the old house, from dancing feets in a barn, from the wind and waves and the shaking leaves in the forest, from rotating stones on the beach. We believe that music is forever and that we are only a link which transfer the music to next generation.
Swedish folk music goes to roots from medieval time, transferred from generation to generation, keeping it's local accent and specific dances. Similar traditions can be found in all cultures. We try to keep the Swedish traditional polska-tunes, built up of tripple beat (in someway slightly similar to waltz) but our music is full of improvisation parts and own interpretations.
Some of the music comes from our souls and thoughts, captured at a specific moment, inspired by the sounds around us. We hope that you will enjoy listen to us, to the flute, rythm and voice of Eva and the violin, the mandola and harmonica of Bosse.
Glimmer is the Swedish name for the mineral mica, a glittering layered structured silica mineral. The thin sheets, which can be separated are transparent and behind each layer is another layer, exactly like the human mind.
The tune Vårfiolen is about the springtime, composed by Bosse, playing mandolin. Eva plays the flute and rythm
It was a day in the beginning of April when the first flowers arrived and the streams flooded.
